Overview

The 2010 Jeep Compass is Jeep's flagship four-door, five-passenger sport utility vehicle, available in 6 trims - Sport 4X2 (FWD), Sport 4X4, Limited 4x2 (FWD), Limited 4X4, Sport 4x2 (FWD) E Package and Sport 4x4 E Package. Introduced three years ago, the Compass is a sleek SUV with contemporary exterior and interior features and enters into 2010 mainly as a carryover model from 2009.

Powertrain And Performance

A 2.4-Liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve dual variable valve timing engine with 172-horsepower is standard. A five-speed manual transmission is standard and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is an option. Both front-wheel (Standard) and four-wheel drive systems are available on Jeep Compass. Electronic Stability Program and electronic roll mitigation are standard. The fuel economy details are 21 mpg in city and 24/25 on highways. The cargo capacity behind second row of seat is estimated as 22.6 cubic feet.
